Executive Producer and Narrator Jordan Peele’s reboot of Rod Serlings’ 1959 sci-fi television series “The Twilight Zone” re-imagines some of the classic episodes from the original series and also adds some new storytelling that addresses the current social climate. An example of this commentary through storytelling was featured in a recent episode of the series starring Sanaa Lathan and Damson Idris who stars in “Snowfall” on FX. During a recent Q&A regarding the episode, Sanaa Lathan talked about how she plays a mother who accompanies her son (Damon Idris) on a road trip to his first day at college. The story artfully addresses the issues of racial inequality and police brutality in a way that is incredibly clever and entertaining. The episode can be viewed on CBS All Access.
